Planned and actual hours
Each shift in skillo has 2 sets of hours:
- planned hours
- actual hours
When a shift is scheduled, the planned and the actual hours are the same.
Assigning a candidate to a shift will not alter the planned hours or actual hours in any way.
Editing the hours on a shift from the Live labor journal, a specific requirement page or a candidate's schedule will alter both the planned and the actual hours since, in theory, you're scheduling shifts that will take place in the future.
However, we know that in the real world, things happen and the planned and actual worked hours are not always the same. A candidate may either be late to a shift or forced to stay overtime or leave early.
This is where the actual hours come in.
You can use the timesheets page to update the actual hours of shifts.
Update the times in the inputs and then click on the ✅ mark on the right of the candidate.
Planned hours will not be altered when updating a shift from the timesheets page.
Some companies go to the timesheets page when they receive the timesheets with the actual hours from the clients or candidates and perform the updates.
When scheduling using skillo you are not allowed to create overlaps or exceedances (except travel time).
However, just as in the real world, actual worked hours may create exceedances like "total hours worked in a week", "days without rest" etc.
Updating the actual hours also leads to the recalculation of the fatigue index for the shifts involved the ones afterwards.
