Unavailability Days

Unavailability Day are a feature in the Skillo Suppliers system that allows tracking days when a candidate is not available for work.

This helps in better planning and prevents scheduling conflicts.

Overview

A Unavailability Day represents a specific date where a candidate cannot accept shifts. These are stored per candidate and include a specific reason for the unavailability.

How it Works

1. Adding Unavailability Days

Users can mark a candidate as unavailable for a specific period.

  • How: Unavailability days can be added from a candidate's schedule -> Green button "+ Add unavailability Days" top right
  • Input: Start Date, End Date, and Reason.
  • Reason: Reason of unavailability; can be medical, personal, vacation, etc.

2. Validation during Shift Assignment or Shifts Requests

When assigning shifts to a candidate or when approving Shifts Requests.

  • Mechanism: Skillo checks if any of the proposed shifts overlap with existing unavailability days.
  • Outcome: If an overlap is found, the assignment is blocked, and an error message is displayed (e.g., "Shift overlaps with candidate-unavailable day").

3. Visibility and Management

  • Calendar: Unavailability days are displayed on the candidate's schedule/calendar.
  • Removal: Users can remove an unavailability day by clicking on the event in the calendar.
  • Settings: Visibility to subsponsors can be controlled via the Show candidate unavailability days to subsponsors flag in the Operational Setting.

4. Reporting
