Competencies

This guide provides instructions on how to manage competencies (also referred to as "Competence") for candidates in Skillo Suppliers.

Competencies represent skills that a candidate possesses.

In Skillo, Competencies and Qualifications are different concepts.

In order to perform these actions you must have the OPERATE_ON_COMPETENCIES privilege on Your Profile.

1. Adding a Competency

You can add a new competency to a candidate's profile to track their qualifications and expiry dates.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to Candidate Profile: Go to the profile page of the candidate you want to update.
  2. Locate Competencies Section: Scroll down to the "Competencies" table.
  3. Click "Add Competence": Click the green button with the plus sign (+ add competence) located at the top right of the competencies section.
  4. Fill in the Details:
    • Qualification: Search ~~for and select the appropriate qualification from the dropdown menu. (Hint: Press Space to see available options if searching doesn't immediately show what you need).
    • Expiry Date (Optional): Select the date when this competency will expire.
    • Number (Optional): Enter any reference number associated with the competency (e.g., certifi~~cate number).
    • Is Main Trade: Check this box if this competency is the primary trade for the candidate.
  5. Save:
    • Click Save to add the competency and close the window.
    • Click Save and add another if you have multiple competencies to add for the same candidate.

2. Updating a Competency

Use this function to correct details or update the expiry date of an existing competency.

Accessing the Edit Action:

There are two ways to access the Edit function:

  • From Candidate Profile: Find the competency in the list, click the three vertical dots () on the right, and select Edit.
  • From Competency Details Modal: If you are in the "Competency Management" section (e.g., "Not Handled" list), click on a competency to open its details. In the top toolbar of the modal, click the Edit button.

Steps:

  1. Modify Details:
    • You can update the Expiry Date, Number, or toggle the Is Main Trade status.
    • Note: The Qualification itself cannot be changed. If you selected the wrong qualification, you must delete it and add a new one.
  2. Save: Click the Save button to apply your changes.

3. Removing a Competency

If a competency was added in error or is no longer relevant, it can be removed.

Accessing the Delete Action:

  • From Candidate Profile: Click the three vertical dots () on the right of the row and select Delete (highlighted in red).
  • From Competency Details Modal: Click the Delete button (red text) in the top toolbar of the details modal.

Steps:

  1. Confirm: A confirmation message will appear. Confirm the deletion to PERMANENTLY REMOVE the competency from the candidate's profile.
